Rendering order issue for 3D models in 2.5D game

Hello, I'm trying to render my objects in proper order but it's still not working properly. I've tried many possible solutions found there (multiple cameras with different depths, render queues, shaders (not sure about this one, I don't know the very well)). I would like to use it especially when moving objects on board (dynamically, during the game). The main idea is to have some objects placed on the board and when they are moved around, the object currently picked will be displayed over any to other object behind. Can you help with this one? I've been working on it for a long time, but nothing helps. I'm using an orthographic camera (in 3D mode) with fixed angles.
